Modify the existing sonar rule description

Is there any way that we can modify the existing sonar rule description?

  • The sonar version we are using is 8.3.1
  • We are defining our own security standards for our org. Few of the existing sonar rules are falling under those standards and we would like to customize those rules descriptions, Is there a way that we can change the rule descriptions of the existing sonar rules without the need to write a custom rule?

Welcome to the community!

You can add an addendum via the ‘Extend Description’ button you’ll find on the rule detail page in the Rules page. But you cannot change the description it’s shipped with.
