TFS 2018 Service Endpoint Type Missing for Sonarcube

Template for a good bug report:

  • versions used (SonarQube, Scanner, Plugin, and any relevant extension): Sonarcube 4.3.2
  • error observed: Plugin not added in “New Service Endpoint”
  • steps to reproduce: Install new sonarcube plugin from marketplace in tfs 2018 update2 and sonarcube plugin will not show in “New Service Endpoint” even after installation is successful
  • potential workaround : Looking for solution.

Explanation below:

After installing extension from Marketplace Endpoint “New Service Endpoint” section not showing the installed type.

ex:

We are trying to install Sonarqube extension installation is successful but in TFS 2018

under Services => New Service Endpoint is not showing up.

Vinod,

Does your TFS instance have multiple collections, and was the extension installed in th correct, or all collections? I’ve administrated TFS before and made that mistake.

Hi Colin
Thanks for responding. We only have 1 collection in the TFS. Not sure what is wrong why the dedicated sonarqube endpoint type wouldn’t show up after installing this extension. We uninstalled and tried installing the older versions of sonarqube extensions as well. No luck.
