Test and validate backup

Hello,

We subscribe Sonarqube Developer edition and we plan to regularly test our disaster recovery plans. The test will be performed in an isolated environment where the entire virtual machine will be restored along with its necessary components to check that the application works. When the test is completed, the entire environment will be deleted.

Therfore i am woundering if this is possible with existing license or do we have to upgrade to Enterprise?

Hey there.

You’ll surely be able to test whether or not SonarQube starts up successfully, but if your Server ID changes, your existing license will not work (and analyses will not be processed). Developer Edition does not include non-production licenses.
