Sonarqube Developer Edition on Kubernetes

Good morning. We are running Sonarqube Developer Edition version 8.9.9, and we want for a long time move to Kubernetes instead of a VM. For a long time we saw that was not possible, but documentation is a big fuzzy about this. With Developer Edition is it possible to run SQ in Kubernetes?

Kindest regards.

Hi @Luis_Amado,

Yes this is possible since some time already. Take a look at the official Helm chart for the lts (helm-chart-sonarqube/charts/sonarqube-lts at master · SonarSource/helm-chart-sonarqube · GitHub) and the documentation how to deploy to k8s for more information (Deploy SonarQube on Kubernetes)

The lts chart is lacking some features and quality of life things compared to the latest sonarqube chart, so if you are planning an upgrade you might want to consider the latest chart.

Hope that helps

Does this license comprise the use of multiple replicas in K8s?

Sonarqube does not support more than one replica, except for the datacenter edition. This one has a dedicated chart that allows multiple application and search pods

Unfortunately that doesn’t qualify to run in our K8s cluster :(. Any application need at least 2 replicas to run in K8s stated for every application SLA. Thank you anyways.
