Evaluation of Developer edition

Currently, we run the Community Edition in a docker container on Azure.
I’d like to see the differences when we would upgrade to the Developer Edition.
What would be the best approach? Can I simply install a dev edition and connect it to the same database? Or would it be better to make a copy of the database, and leave the current installation intact?

This is probably the safest way to go. If you haven’t already, request your trial which will get you in touch with SonarSource to help you in your evaluation.
