We are going to upgrade from Community to Developer on SonarQube 7.5.
Will I be able to point the Developer edition bits at my existing Community edition Database? and retain my users, groups, projects etc…?
Or does the Developer edition really need to start from scratch?

Hi Jeff,
No worries, we’ve planned for this eventuality! 
You can upgrade versions or editions (or both) in place. Just expand the archive and point it to your DB. For a same-version edition upgrade I don’t think there should be any migration. If there’s a version upgrade in the mix, just follow the upgrade guide.
