Custom profile rules showing as both active and inactive

Sonarqube Version 8.2.0.32929
We are trying to use a custom quality profile for our project
We created and applied a custom profile but the rules are appearing as inactive under rules but active under inheritance. When we analyse the project the rules are not being applied.

What action is required to activate the rules?

A restart of sonarqube resolved the issue.

I’m glad you worked through this.

FYI, a restart wouldn’t normally be required to make this work. It looks like maybe your Elasticsearch indices got messed up.
