Verification emails not being sent

hello.
I am in the IT department, and I was not informed that verification emails would be required. I was just asked to set up an account. Nor was I ever asked if it was OK to send a verification email when trying to sign up.

Because of these two things, the first verification emails your system sent me bounced.

Now that I know the account needs email verification, I have attached a mailbox to the account, but none of your emails are coming through.

I have done a mail trace and there are no emails coming into my sonar account.

Can you please resolve this?
