what are you trying to achieve
Our license is set to expire in a month or so, and we are looking at renewing it. During that process we were also notified that our Lines of Code is reaching it’s limit (currently at around 4 million out of 5 million), and so we also started looking at if we need to upgrade the license instead.
When we look at the rate of new lines being added, we think we should be fine for another term of one year, but since there is no over-time information for the LOC (feature request btw), it is difficult to form a rough estimate for how long the remaining million lines will last. Or maybe we missed those statistics in the UI, in which case please point us to it.
So, the question is, if we decide to simply renew the current license, and we find that we’ll reach the LOC limit before the end of that license term, how does it work if we want to upgrade the license?
Would we pay the 17500€ for the renewal, and then let’s say we need to upgrade the license after half a year, would there be any discounts or would the Developer edition be essentially useless for that latter half of the year and the “value” be half, i.e. 8750€?
