we are currently using SonarQube version 7.9.1.27448 community edition and want to upgrade to version 8.3.1. We are thinking about moving to the Developer Version.
When doing this upgrade, do I need to follow any advice or can I simply make an upgrade ?

It should be straightforward. Give a read through our upgrade docs and also note the link to release-specific upgrade notes.
Also note that SonarQube 8.4 was already released, with an 8.4.1 patch release expected in the coming days.
thank you for your answer. I did my upgrade and everything works fine. I updated to the latest 8.4 version in the end.
