We need to upgrade from current version 8.5 to 8.9 LTS & then 9.9 LTS , OS - Windows, Java version- 8 & Database - MsSQL.

We need to upgrade the SonarQube enterprise 8.5 to 8.9 LTS intermediate version and then 9.9 LTS Final Version , Please provide us the detailed description how to upgrade from current version the intermediate version. Also provide us the upgradation / installation guide for both the version for upgrading the same.

Hi Colin,

Can you please share the steps involved to perform related to database like data migration on sonarqube. In my case Database is located on external server so what we need to be perform in migration task of Database.

Once you hookup your new SonarQube install to your existing database (steps #1-#5):

  1. Browse to http://yourSonarQubeServerURL/setup and follow the setup instructions

This migrates the database from one that supports SonarQube 8.5 to one that supports 8.9
