Just a quick question. I’m using a Sonarqube Enterprise Edition currently at 9.9.8 LTA and would soon upgrade to 2025.1 LTA. I just wanted to know if community edition doesn’t support HA and you need to be in Data Center Edition?
I found this in previous ask in the community and wanted to know if this is still the case for Enterprise Edition?
I have a dilemma. I noticed that version 2025.1 has a minor update, making it 2025.1.1. My current development environment was upgraded to 2025.1 (not 2025.1.1) sometime in February or March. I’m about to upgrade my production environment to 2025.1. Do you highly recommend upgrading to 2025.1.1 instead of just 2025.1?
If I upgrade to 2025.1.1 in production, I need to upgrade the development environment to 2025.1.1 immediately because production needs to be on the same version as the development environment.
Hi @popac00
The last version Long Term is indeed 2025.1.1 (Download SonarQube at the bottom of the page).
Recommendation is to stay on this version (2025.1.1) as we fixed couple of issues that were part of the 2025.1 earlier.
To expand on what Carine said, 2025.1.1 is, yes, a minor update to 2025.1. You should upgrade both your systems to it to get the patches and fixes it contains. You shouldn’t see any significant functionality differences, just some fixes.
Question so i was able to upgrade my dev instance to 2025.1.1 however when I checked it says that there’s an update available already for Sonarqube instance. Does that mean that the 2025.1.1 LTA is not anymore the new version? We were just talking about this 5 days ago.
Yes, that’s correct. For a brief period, at the beginning of each cycle, a version is both LTA (Long Term Active) and Latest, and then two months later, a new non-LTA version is released.
So for instance, by say August, we should be on 2025.4 as the latest. But 2025.1.x will (still) be the LTA.
