Does SonarQube enterprise edition support cluster model?

  • what are you trying to achieve?
    We are exploring options to host enterprise Sonar instances on AWS servers as a cluster.
    We would like to know if the enterprise edition supports the cluster model.

  • what have you tried so far to achieve this
    We are running the Sonar community edition on On-Prem and exploring the options to move it to AWS.
    Hardware requirement:

2 web servers as a cluster
1 Postgres SQL server
External ELK server

Hi,

What you’re looking for only starts in Data Center Edition($$$$).

I know that’s a huuuuge jump from Community Edition. Can you share what you’re trying to accomplish (or is the answer just the obvious “redundancy”)?

We are exploring the enterprise edition previously but as you stated this edition doesn’t support the cluster model.
So we need to reconsider the edition to configure Sonar servers as a cluster model.

In short, we are trying to upgrade to a version where it should support the load below:

1000 + Projects
5 million lines of code
High availability
The servers are hosted on AWS so the edition should be compatible with the cloud.

Hi,

If you really need high availability, then Data Center Edition is what you want. But volume-wise Enterprise should handle it.

At this point it’s probably time to start a conversation with the sales folks (who can probably hook you up with some pre-sales consulting to really understand the best fit for your needs).
