Sonarqube 6.7 not sending notification on manual issue assigment

Having a sonar project with several issues. email server correctly configured in general settings, with test mail sent successfully, and my admin account set to receive all notifications for a specific project (or even for all). When i manually assign an issue to myself. or perform any change on the issue (resolution per example) no notification is sent to me, sonar main logs in debug mode does not show anything.
Is not supposed that notification mail is sent regarless has been manually assign or auto assigned ?

It’s indeed expected that a notification is never sent to the author of the event.

Can you clarify to me in which cases notifications are sent then ?
This means that for any manual issue assignment no notification is sent to the assignee ?

Notifications are sent to you when you’re the assignee.

Notification will be sent to the assignee if it’s not you.

Ok thanks, test with asigment done by other person and notification has been sent
