Dear SonarLint users,
similarly to SonarLint for IntelliJ, we raised the minimum required JVM runtime version from 8 to 11 in SonarLint for Visual Studio Code.
In facts, the Eclipse Project has moved to Java 11 in 2020 and we are relying on ECJ (the Eclipse compiler) for our analyzers. Staying close to the latest ECJ is important for analysis stability and for support of all the latest language features, especially since many languages increased their pace of new releases.
