Hello Go developers,
many of you asked us to support Go analysis, and we’ve heard you!
The 8.1 version, that has just been released, adds on-the-fly code analysis of Go in GoLand:
And of course SonarLint helps you understand you Go issues with rich rule descriptions, just like for all the other languages we support.
Go analysis is available only in GoLand for the time being - we’d be glad to know if you use IDEA Ultimate as well for Go, we can also activate it there if there is a need.
This release also brings the following new features:
- The support of Kotlin 1.8.
- Several new rules for C# and VB.NET in Rider, you can read the details here.
- The support for TI Arm Clang C/C++ Compiler in CLion.
There are also many other improvements and bug fixes in this release, you can learn more in the release notes.
