We are having an issue binding our SonarCloud organization (Thulium) to our GitHub organization.
After installing the GitHub App, nothing happens. There is no error message and no confirmation — simply no response.
Our organization had already been bound previously, but we encountered some issues and reinstalled the app, as mentioned in SonarCloud. Since then, we are unable to analyze new projects because they are not being discovered by SonarCloud.
Do you have an ETA? This is blocking us from adding a new project, and SonarCloud is currently unusable for us. If it still doesn’t work, we’ll be forced to look for a different tool.
Hi @Piotr_Olaszewski - I know you’ve been through this process before, but can you please try removing the GitHub app entirely? After this happens, we (SonarCloud) should get a notification from GitHub that the app was uninstalled, and we unbind the organization like so:
Then click GitHub, reinstall the app, and we should get another notification from GitHub that the application was installed, and then we (SonarCloud) should rebind the organization.
The reason I’m asking is the screenshot where it says “we were not able to find the requested organization” typically comes when we don’t receive the final notification that the application was installed from GitHub. I’m hoping this was a transient error on delivering this notification on the GitHub side. If not, I’ll dig further into the logs on our side and see if I can find out what’s going.
@Piotr_Olaszewski Very glad to hear it! My suspicion is the IP allowlist was blocking the notification back to SonarQube Cloud to tell us that the GitHub application was installed/uninstalled. Please let us know if you run anymore issues on this.
