Poor coverage in the New Code from a specific date

Our SonarQube Version:

  • Enterprise EditionVersion 9.4 (build 54424)

Problem:

  • We have problems when we set New Code to a specific version. New Vulnerabilities/Bugs/Security Hotspots/… is working properly. However, the coverage that shows the same values in Overall Code and New Code does not work for us.
  • We tried to repeat the analysis many times.

Could you please look into the problem for us?

Hey there.

It looks like there are two warnings on your analysis (in the upper right of your screenshot). What are they?

:warning: Make sure you upgrade to SonarQube v9.9 LTS soon, not only to benefit from our Best LTS Ever™, but because soon we will systematically ask users to upgrade when they ask questions about earlier versions of SonarQube, which are now considered unsupported.

We have an upgrade planned for next weekend. Unfortunately, we can’t restart production now. The new LTS version was released on February 7, 2023. We are not able to plan an upgrade from one day to the next. It means for us a more complete task with testing all subsequent services and also plugins.

We have warnings for all analyses, they have no effect on this error. The last New Code settings work for us and the warnings are there too.

Unfortunately, you canceled support p4 a long time ago… that’s why we have an SCM warning.

So the mystery was solved. We have upgraded to LTS 9.9.0. Which caused other errors in the coverage, but that’s another issue. This one was solved.
