we are currently using the Sonarserver 9.9.4 (LTA) version. We are in transition to move from 9.9.4 to 25.5.x version of community build edition. Our sonar scanner user the 4.2.x version. Our sonar is hosted on openshift container.
Our current problem is to which version of sonar scanner shall we update to? we don’t see any compatibility matrix. Does anyone have any knowledge on the compatibility matrix page?

Hey there.
Any breaks in scanner compatibility will be noted in the release notes. (Don’t forget the 9.9 - 10.7 upgrade notes for details relevant between 9.9 and 24.12)
Regardless, you should upgrade to the latest version of the scanners, such as v7.1 of the SonarScanner CLI.
Older scanner versions (which haven’t been mentioned in the upgrade notes) should still work if you provide your own updated JRE, but they may lack features available in newer versions, like JRE Auto-provisioning.
