Admin can't access project

SonarQube 7.1 Build 11001

While logged in as admin, I changed the project group settings and removed “sonar-users”. After applying the settings, I noticed the “sonar-administrators” was unchecked as well. No user has access to this project now!

Attempting to go directly to the project URL forwards me to the login screen.

I would assume that the admins would always have access to all projects. Therefore this scenario should not occur.

As an admin, I was able to goto the projects’ management page and select “Restore access” from the project’s dropdown.

As written in your second message, whoever has the ‘Administer System’ permission is able to restore permissions on any project.
