Adjusting sonarQube overview page

  • which versions are you using SonarQube
    • Sonarqube 6.7.6.38781
  • what are you trying to achieve
    • Change homepage
  • what have you tried so far to achieve this
    • Attempted to review all options in SonarQube

.

  • Is it possible to adjust the homepage of sonarQube to display a specific portfolio?
    • We created a org-charge like portfolio tree and wanted to have this displayed as the homepage for visibility purposes.
  • Is it possible to show a code coverage metric within a portfolio overview?
    • Sort of like the screenshot you’ll see on this plugins mainpage.

Hi,

Each user can choose her homepage by clicking on the house-shaped icon at the top-right of the page. This icon doesn’t appear on all pages in the UI, but it is available on Projects and IIRC on Portfolios in 6.7.

And it is incumbent upon me to say that 6.7.* is past EOL. The current LTS is 7.9.2 and the current version is 8.2. Normally I would end this by saying you should upgrade at your earliest convenience. However, I’ve just realized that in 7.9 we accidentally dropped the ability to set a portfolio as Home, so you might actually want to wait just a little longer.

As for modifying the interface, no that’s not possible.

Update: You actually can set a Portfolio as Home in 7.9.2. So, yeah. Upgrade at your earliest convenience.

Hi Ann!

You mentioned “Each user can choose her homepage by …”. I suspect this means it can’t be set for everyone? Just wanted to make sure.

Also, I tried to look for the home icon but I don’t see it:

Maybe this has changed since the version I’m on?

Thank you!

Hi,

Yes, you’re right.

There’s no home icon on the Portfolios page, but there should be on the homepage of each individual Portfolio.

Ann
