Warning: running a version of SonarQube that is no longer active for v 10.7

We just started seeing this warning on our 10.7 version of SonarQube, which we just installed late last year.

You’re running a version of SonarQube that is no longer active. Please upgrade to an active version immediately.

As the latest version is 2025.1, just released, wouldn’t 10.7 still be an LTA version (released June 2024)?

The guide says active versions are:

  • Latest version of SonarQube Server => 2025.1
  • Latest - 1 version of SonarQube Server => 10.8
  • Long-Term Active (LTA) version => 10.8?
  • Long-Term Active (LTA) - 1 => 10.8?

Hey there.

When a new LTA is released (until the next SonarQube releae), it is both the current LTA and the latest version.

10.7 was never an LTA version! 9.9 was the LTA until 2025.1 was released.

So right now, active versions are 10.8 and 2025.1. You should target 2025.1 LTA.
