Sonarqube version upgrade

  • what are you trying to achieve - Upgrade to new version: 9.5 with LTS

We are using sonarqube enterprise edition v8.4.2 and deployed this version application using helm charts(oteemocharts-6.5.0 version).

We would like to upgrade sonarqube to latest LTS version. Could you please advise on the below points.

→ Do we need to upgrade helm charts? If yes, please advise the helm chart name/version?

→ What is the latest LTS version of sonarqube?

→ How to upgrade sonarqube application with the current helm charts(oteemocharts-6.5.0 version)?

Hi,

Welcome to the community!

As you seem to be aware, you’ll need to upgrade to 8.9 before you can get to 9.6 (announced last week).

For which charts to use, you should switch to the officially supported ones.

We have upgraded the helm charts to 1.0.26 and upgraded sonarqube to 8.9.8 version and we would like to upgrade our sonarqube to 9.5 version. Do we need to upgrade our helm chart for sonarqube 9.5 version or 1.0.26 helm version is sufficient?

Hi,

You should be aiming for SonarQube 9.6, not 9.5. The Helm chart version for that is 2.0.
