SonarQube version Upgrade from 9.9 LTA to 2025.1.3 LTA

Hi Team,

We are preparing to upgrade the SonarQube Major version from 9.9.1 LTA to 2025.1.3 LTA. Based on our current plan, we are utilizing the following versions of the SonarScanner CLI. Could you please assist us in determining whether these versions will be supported after the upgrade to 2025.1.3? If these SonarScanner versions are not supported, which versions will be compatible?

These below jobs are the we are using for sonar scanner CLI:

CI.Angular, CI.java, CI.Npm - Current SonarScanner 4.7.0.2747

CI.DotNet - Current SonarScanner for MSBuild 5.9.2

CI.KJAR - Current SonarScanner 4.4.0.2170

CI.Nuget - Current SonarScanner 5.0.2.4997

Are there any referral documents related to the post-upgrade process, as well as documents addressing troubleshooting issues? If so, please share them with me, as they would be extremely helpful.

Hey there.

You can always refer to the update notes for any changes to scanner comparability.

You can see that for example:

SonarScanner for .NET compatibility (10.4)

Starting with SonarQube 10.4, analysis of .NET projects requires SonarScanner for .NET 5.14+.

We recommend using the latest version of all scanners, even if it’s not strictly required. Only the latest version is maintained.

Make sure you read all the docs about upgrading!!
