Sonarqube - query related to latest version for swift projects

Hi Team,

I have a question regarding the latest version of the SonarQube server. In the past, when we were using the older (EOL) version ~8.6, our organization relied on a third-party plugin to analyze iOS Swift projects for sonarqube community version. I would like to know whether the latest version of SonarQube now includes native support for Swift analysis, eliminating the need for additional plugins.

Can someone please confirm this?

We are planning to upgrade to the latest version in our organization. For context, we use Kotlin for Android development and Swift for iOS.

Hi,

SonarQube has included native Swift support for quite a while now. It starts in Developer Edition($). It’s also available in SonarQube Cloud, which has a free plan.

So, if we upgrade to the latest community version, Swift project analysis isn’t available by default?

Please correct me if I’m wrong.

Hi,

As I said, Swift starts in Developer Edition. It is not available in Community Build.
