Hi all,

Sonar is proud to announce the April release of the SonarQube Community Build 25.4.0.105899. This version includes improved performance of Kotlin analysis due to a K2 compiler, as well as other enhancements.

Details are in the Release Notes. You’ll find all fixed tickets in the full release notes. Please open new threads for any questions you have about these or other features.

As usual, download is available at SonarSource.com. Docker image is available on Docker Hub.

Hi Team,

I noticed that the sonar.properties file now mentions:

  • “PostgreSQL 13 or greater” (previously it was “PostgreSQL 11 or greater”).

Could you please confirm if this is a new prerequisite for installation or upgrade? If so, could you point me to the official documentation that specifies this requirement?

I reviewed the release notes for sonarqube-community-build-25-4-0-105899 but couldn’t find any mention of this infrastructure change.

Any clarification or guidance would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks for you message, indeed we forgot to put it into the SonarQube Build upgrade notes, we gonna fix it.
It was part of the 25.1.0.102122 release.
