SonarQube 10.6 version upgrade to 10.8- Queries

Hi Team,

We are using SonarQube 10.6 community edition version. Suddenly from today we are seeing the version we are running is not supporting and no longer going to active.

We are planning to upgrade to 10.8 version but clarify us below queries.

  1. Are we going to loose the IIS config setting what we currently had?
  2. How can we restore the data in the new version? We are using built in embedded database right now.
  3. How to take DB backup in such case as we are having lot of templates/quality gates and users added to the sonar.

Hi Muhammadh,

Oh dear.

You’re using the embedded database and just ignoring the warning that shows up across the bottom of every page telling you not to use the embedded database for production, and that it can’t be upgraded?

Sorry, but you’re going to have to start over and lose your data.
