SonarLint vs22 Compatible implementation

Windows 10 Enterprise 22H2
Microsoft Visual Studio Community 2022 (64-bit) - Current
Version 17.7.6
Connected to Sonarqube with SonarLint v(7.4.0.80741)

I can connect to Sonarqube via visual studio and see the projects, but when I bind to the project, I get the following error.

ERROR: Could not find compatible implementation of ‘ISearchHotspotRequest’ for SonarQube 8.4.2.36762.
[Hotpots] Fetch operation failed: Could not find compatible implementation of ‘ISearchHotspotRequest’ for SonarQube 8.4.2.36762.

Hi @Gowsick_Mani,

Welcome to the community!

You’ve resurrected a thread that’s 8 months old. Per the FAQ, please don’t do that.

Normally, I’d ask you to create a new thread with all your details, but this is pretty easy: SonarQube 8.9 is past EOL. You should upgrade to either the latest version or the current LTA (long-term active version) at your earliest convenience. Your upgrade path is:

8.9.1 → 9.9.6 → 10.6 (last step optional)

You may find these resources helpful:

If you have questions about upgrading, feel free to open a new thread for that here.

If your error persists after upgrade, please come back to us.

Thx,
Ann
