SonarLint proxy settings in connectedMode.json

Please provide

  • Operating system: Windows 11
  • SonarLint plugin version: 10.7.0.78874
  • Programming language you’re coding in: Java
  • Is connected mode used: yes
    • Connected to SonarQube (and which version): * Developer Edition - v10.5.1 (90531)

And a thorough description of the problem / question:

We’re using SonarLint in connected mode. SonarQube is available through a proxy connection. We have committed in the Java project the .sonarlint/connectedMode.json file with the sonarQubeUri and projectKey.
The current version of the plugin has a wizard that help developers configuring SonarLint that fails because it needs to use proxy to validate connection.

I’d like to know if exists the possibility to include proxy settings (e.g. use system proxy) properties in .sonarlint/connectedMode.json.

Thanks a lot for raising this topic! Currently, specifying proxy settings is not possible with .sonarlint/connectedMode.json, but indeed it could be a very interesting use case! I will flag this idea internally with the PMs.
