when background jobs are in pending state for more than X minutes, the Sonarcloud status page reports red and down. Support is notified of a down condition which affects customers. An incident is logged and displayed on the status page letting customers know a problem has been found.
when background jobs are in a pending state for more than X minutes, the sonarcloud status page reports NO issues. No one at Sonarsource is notified of the serious outage that is effecting customers.
I’d like to suggest that if 3 background tasks from 10 customers stay in the queue (pending) for more than 5 minutes then there is a hair on fire, fix the problem now event happening. Actual non-functional requirements on these numbers/thresholds are probably better left to you guys. Something needs to be put in place.
