Sonar Bitbucket configuration

We are struggling authenticate to Sonar by using Bitbucket credentials, earlier we used to get login via bitbucket option on login page however this option is disappeared now. Moreover, all users are listed in Sonar portal then also they are getting authentication failed message.

Licences: Enterprise Edition
Expiry Date: 2023

    Wanted to authenticate Sonar using Bitbucket credentials
    Earlier we used to get bitbucket option to login

    We have checked the bitbucket and jenkin config everything seems to be ok.

Hey there.

Most likely you had https://github.com/SonarSource/sonar-auth-bitbucket installed on your SonarQube instance and it somehow became uninstalled, or deactivated.

I would recommend checking whether or not this plugin is installed (and if it is, whether it is still enabled in your global Administration)…

You should also know your version is past EOL. You should upgrade to either the latest version or the current LTS at your earliest convenience. Your upgrade path is:

8.6 → 8.9.9 → 9.6 (last step optional)

Thanks for the reply. We are facing the version compatibility issue while installing the Bitbucket auth plugin, is this because of the June 2020 update or so? This plugin was working earlier and we were able to login through bitbucket creds, however, recently it has broken.

If the Marketplace download isn’t working (and that’s expected – as SonarQube v8.6 is EOL), you can still download the plugin [SonarSource Downloads-CDN) and follow the documentation on installing a plugin into the appropriate directory.
