Please stop showing the "welcome" tab

Please provide

  • Operating system: Fedora Linux 41 | Linux 6.13.7
  • SonarQube for IntelliJ plugin version: 10.19.0.80823
  • IntelliJ version: #PY-243.26053.29

After the recent rebranding update of the SonarQube for IDE plugin, each and every time I open a new project (i.e. clone one from git, or manually create), the SonarQube “welcome” tab show up.

I have looked for a “do not show again” option either in the page or in the settings, but could not find it.

Did I miss it?
If not, could you please add one so that I can stop seeing this popup?
After the 40th time I think I can pretty confidently say that yes, I understand how basic Sonar features work, and no, I do not want to use SonarQube Server.

Thanks a lot, have a nice day.

Hello @leopoldhub, and many thanks for reporting this to us. This is definitely an unwanted behavior as we do not want this Welcome tab to be seen more than once, as it could distract and annoy users. I created this ticket on our side that we will tackle as soon as possible.

In the meantime, I would like to understand why it’s showing up again and again in your case. Normally, we already prevent this Welcome page from showing up more than once. This is saved in per-IDE, so even opening a new project shouldn’t trigger this page again. Do you have a specific environment, or anything particular that could explain this? (cleaning up of the IDE cache, etc.)
