We have recently purchased an enterprise license for SonarQube Cloud. We have multiple Azure DevOps and GitHub organizations that should be linked to SonarQube Cloud. We currently have two organizations in the enterprise, one linked to GitHub and one linked to Azure DevOps.
I have trouble adding a new organization to the enterprise. I created the organization successfully, and it is now linked to an Azure DevOps organization, and is on the free plan. However, onboarding it the organization doesn’t seem to be possible. The “Add”-button in the organization management view says “You’ve added all eligible organizations -
You have already added all the organizations where you have the organization admin permission.”
However, I am the admin of the organization that I want to add. The organization is visible in the account menu, and it is tagged as ADMIN.
In the organization’s billing page, there’s no option to link to the existing enterprise. The enterprise option only has a “Talk to sales” button.
I’m not sure if SSO is related, but that is enabled in our enterprise. I tried both ways: when logged in via SSO, and when logged in via Azure DevOps.
If you want to add new orgs to your enterprise, you’ll need to contact us so that we can make the necessary backend changes and generate new coupons that reallocate the Lines of Code among your new orgs.
This is the same process noted under Assigning the Enterprise plan to your organizations in the setting up your enterprise documentation that you linked.
For each organization you want to include in the enterprise, select the number of Lines of Codes (LOC) of the Enterprise plan you want to purchase: see LOC-based pricing in Subscription plans for information about the LOC threshold.
Contact our team to purchase the corresponding Enterprise coupons. You will need to provide the key of each organization that will be part of the enterprise (The key is displayed at the far right of the Organization’s navigation bar, see Retrieving your organizations.).
The wording in the docs (“purchase the corresponding Enterprise coupons”) is probably a bit confusing since you’ve already purchased an Enterprise plan, and this is simply adding additional orgs to your enterprise (which also involves coupons). I’ll flag this as something we could improve in the docs.
We want this to be more self-service in the long term. For now, adding additional orgs to the enterprise requires talking to us.
