Migration from legacy Enterprise to new version – Unable to add more organizations

I followed the instructions in the two links that support shared:

  1. https://docs.sonarsource.com/sonarqube-cloud/getting-started-with-enterprise/setting-up-your-enterprise/ → I created a new Enterprise organization following the steps (including requesting/using the license key provided by SonarSource).

  2. https://docs.sonarsource.com/sonarqube-cloud/administering-sonarcloud/managing-enterprise/managing-the-lines-of-code-within-your-enterprise#allocating-loc-limit → I navigated to the “Billing and usage” → “Manage lines of code” section to start allocating LOC.

However, I’m facing an issue when trying to add more organizations to this new Enterprise:

  • In the Organizations tab of the Enterprise, I see only the existing one: Convatec Digital (cvt-digital), where I have Admin permissions.

  • When I click Add organization, a popup appears saying: “You’ve added all eligible organizations”“You have already added all the organizations where you have the organization admin permission.”

Please, i need to add more organizations inside my enterprise.

Hi,

You need to create the organization first, under the + button at the top-right. Then once it exists, it will appear on that page to be added.

We have it in our backlog to fix this confusing workflow, BTW. In the meantime, I’ll see if we can’t make the docs a bit clearer.

Hi Ann,

That’s the thing. I have an enterprise account and i should have the opportunity to add orgs, so when i try to add an org it brings me to the payment screen.

Okay after digging into this… IMO this process is deeply confusing. I’ve raised that internally, and hopefully we’ll see some movement on that soon.

In the meantime, pick Free. That will create your empty organization, which should be private by default. Once it exists, you’ll be able to add it to your Enterprise.

Already add the organizations to my enterprise account, but they’re in free plan mode.
How can i have the features that i have in Convatec Digital?

Hi Mario,

What are you seeing that makes you believe the orgs are still in free plan mode? Simply adding them to an enterprise should automatically change their mode. And are you still seeing that indicator after you refresh the page?
