Not able to start sonar. getting error in web.log

  • which versions are you using (SonarQube, Scanner, Plugin, and any relevant extension) : 10.1
  • how is SonarQube deployed: zip, Docker, Helm - zip
    We are using current version of version sonar which is there on official documentation with java 17 and postgres 15.

Error -Current version is too old. Please upgrade to Long Term Support version firstly I am getting this error in web.log

Welcome to the community!

This error is caused by making too big an upgrade jump at one time. As discussed in the docs, you can’t skip LTS versions that fall between your starting point and your target. You didn’t give the version you migrated from, so I can’t tell you your exact migration path, but 9.9.1 is the current LTS, so if you came from 8.*, you’ll need to go to 9.9.1 before you can finish the migration to 10.1.

I am not upgrading sonar. I am installing it from scratch.

I don’t know what to tell you. The error you’ve reported only comes from too-big an upgrade jump.
