Merge user accounts

Hi,

we’re using SonarQube 9.2.x Enterprise Edition and just switched from authenticating users against GitHub to a private GitHub Enterprise instance.

Since the user names on GitHub and the private GitHub Enterprise instance aren’t identical, some users have two accounts now (works as designed).

Is it possible to merge two user accounts in SonarQube (Enterprise Edition) into a single account?
While the group mappings were correctly migrated (because the teams on GitHub and the private GitHub Enterprise instance are identical), we’d love to avoid the users having to recreate the tokens they’ve been using to set up their projects.

Hi Jochen,

There’s no functionality for this. In fact, the last time I looked we had the same situation on our internal dogfooding instance.

So I’m going to move this to the New Features category.
