Login with Github - Error - Cannot verify authorization

Hi,

One of the engineers I work with had their Github Account’s primary email changed but the handle is still the same.

However now when they to login to SonarCloud with Github they get following message:

Hey!
Sorry, but we couldn't verify your authorization to access this page.

Home

I have tried to remove their account from the organization and then re-add their account with the new email, but the same issue occurs. Can someone please make the adjustments so that they can access the application please?

Hello @Brianhahd

Thanks for sharing the information I asked for in PM.

I’ve discovered that the email address you shared is associated with a different GitHub handle as a separate user in SonarCloud. Moreover, the GitHub handle you shared is linked to a different email address with the same domain, ’n***@**t.com’.

To rectify this, we need to delete both of the SonarCloud user accounts and recreate them.

Here’s the plan of action:

  1. Your Task: Please deactivate her user account in your organization. This step is necessary for us to proceed with the deletion on our end.

  2. My Action: We will then delete both of her SonarCloud user accounts.

  3. Final Step for You: Once this is done, you can create a new SonarCloud user with her correct GitHub account in your organization.

Thank you for your cooperation in resolving this issue.

Hi @Brianhahd

I completed the user deletion.

Could you proceed with the final step?

Thanks for your cooperation.

Hello,
I tried to add her back and I get a new toaster error message in the UI.

Hi @Brianhahd

Would you mind capturing a screen recording of the process to demonstrate the error you’re encountering? It would be really helpful for troubleshooting.

Thanks a lot.

A resolution for the login issue has been implemented.

@Brianhahd Thanks for your cooperation!
