License Issue Affecting Production Builds

Approximately a month ago, my team and I purchased a license for 1 million lines of code. We have utilized this license successfully for up to around 956,000 lines of code. Recently, we decided to expand our capacity and purchased an additional license for 500,000 lines of code.

After adding the new license key to our SonarQube server, we encountered the following error message: “The last analysis failed because it would have caused your server-wide lines of code total to exceed your 500,000 limit.” This issue appears to suggest that the additional lines of code from our new license have not been properly recognized or integrated into our current setup.

This problem is severely affecting our production builds and, consequently, our project timelines. My team and I would greatly appreciate your prompt assistance in resolving this issue to ensure our operations can proceed without further interruptions.

Hey @Temitayo_Jose

Licenses are not additive – and what seems to have happened is that you’ve bought two licenses (the first, 1 million, and the second for 500k), and now just the second is applied.

To go above 1M Lines of Code, you have to move to a subscription of 2M Lines of Code. There’s no in-between.

If you haven’t already, I suggest getting in touch via our contact form, as any further action will need to be resolved with our sales/sales administration team, outside of this community.

In the meantime you should probably reapply your 1 Million LoC license, if there’s still some wiggle room, so you’re unblocked

I’ve been informed you’ve already gotten in touch, and somebody will get back to you.
