Subject: LDAP Users Not Fully Listed in SonarQube 8.9.10

Description:

We have configured LDAP settings correctly in SonarQube 8.9.10, and LDAP authentication is working as expected. However, not all users from LDAP are listed on the “Users” screen in SonarQube. There are around 1,000 users in our LDAP directory, but SonarQube only lists about 100-150 of them.

To verify this issue, we performed an ldapsearch command from the SonarQube server using the same LDAP configuration details, and it returned users that exist in LDAP but are missing in SonarQube.

Could you please advise on how to resolve this issue and ensure that all LDAP users are listed in SonarQube?

Hey there.

LDAP users will only appear in SonarQube once they’ve actually logged in.

By the way, your version is past EOL. You should upgrade to either the latest version or the current LTA (long-term active version) at your earliest convenience. Your upgrade path is:

8.9.10 → 9.9.6 → 10.6 (last step optional)
