IntelliJ Sonarlint plugin does not return all projects

  • versions used sonarlint 4.0.2.3009, sonarqube 6.7
  • error observed (when trying to bind my project in intellij, the search in list only returns a subset of all available projects in sonarqube …we have over 12,000). If I enter my project name in the text field and click ‘search in list’ it seems to only search within the subset of projects already downloaded. The list of projects downloaded only gets as far as those beginning with ‘o’. How can I access the remaining projects to bind to?

This is a known issue:

Workaround is to bind to another project, then manually update the configuration file and restart IntelliJ.
