Inconsistent user details displayed in SonarQube linked with Azure AD

Hi SonarQube Community,

I’m reaching out for some assistance regarding an issue we’ve encountered with our SonarQube system.

We have a developer on our team, Gary Stephenson, whose email is being displayed in SonarQube as “gray.stephenson”, while it should be “gary.stephenson”. This is unusual, as both Azure AD and SonarQube have the correct details (“gary.stephenson”).

I’ve checked all possible settings and configurations but the issue persists. The suggestion from SonarSource support was that the problem might lie with Git, as the user’s email could have been pulled from the blame info.

Has anyone experienced a similar issue? Any insights on how Git could be influencing this or how to solve this discrepancy would be greatly appreciated. It’s important for us to maintain the accuracy of our data.

Your version is past EOL. You should upgrade to either the latest version or the current LTS at your earliest convenience. Your upgrade path is:

8.9.0 → 8.9.10 → 9.9 → 10.0 (last step optional)

Appreciate the welcome!

My version is 9.9 (build 65466). My teammate upgraded from version 4.0.2+325 to version 8.0.463, which somehow definitely looks like version 9.9 when I log into sonarqube-enterprise and scroll all the way down.

Therefore, let’s say the error persists after upgrade to 9.9.
