Huge transaction Logs using SQL Server 2019 and Sonarqube 9.x

So we are seeing huge transaction log backups for Sonar 9.X (avg. 15GB every hour). This is up from around 2GB just months ago. We have turned on compression and only backup every two hours, but still, the sonar database seems to be generating massive transactional data. And this would correspond to the growing Sonar log files we are experiencing.

IS this expected/normal for this release? I am wondering if we are just seeing alot more user activity with the 9.X version

Your version is past EOL. You should upgrade to either the latest version or the current LTS at your earliest convenience. Your upgrade path is:

9.4 → 9.9 → 10.1 (last step optional)
