How do I apply rule changes to the project

I successfully run the analysis, and I see the issues in the browser. But now I tweak the values in the quality profile. Is it possible to apply these changed rules to the existing report? Or I have to rerun the analysis?
For example, I change the rule severity from Critical to Major; or I change a threshold i a rule. I don’t see any way to “refresh” the results.

changes of quality profile (i.e. change of severity for specific rules …) or quality gate will only take effect with a new analysis.
