Version 8.4.1 (build 35646)
Trying to figure out if there is a way for Sonarqube Housekeeping to not delete release branches, which are simply identified by major.minor.patch (1.2.3). Would like Housekeeping to continue to delete inactive builds after 30 days, but is there a way to identify our tags and not delete them.
Does sonar-project.properties files have a property that can make a branch immune to housekeeping, that i can then apply to a tagged branch?
Welcome to the community!
Your version is past EOL. You should upgrade to either the latest version or the current LTS at your earliest convenience. Your upgrade path is:
8.4 → 8.9.10 → 9.7.1 (last step optional)
You may find the Upgrade Guide helpful. If you have questions about upgrading, feel free to open a new thread for that here.
Regarding your question, this is an issue of the pattern for keeping inactive branches. I suppose you’ll need to update it with each release to include the new version number. E.G.:
Alternately, set the pattern to something like * and handle branch cleanup manually.
