GitLab MR Decoration Not Loading Icons

    Displaying the SonarQube icons in GitLab for the MR Decoration is broken. Our SonarQube runs in private IP space and has restrictions on the outbound NAT configured.

  • what have you tried so far to achieve this
    We tried setting the “Images base URL” in SonarQube’s “Administration > General” to some possible URLs we thought the images might be found at, e.g. as suggested from here:https://community.sonarsource.com/t/gitlab-pull-request-decorator-not-showing-images/21960/8
    This did not work either.
    Do not share screenshots of logs – share the text itself (bonus points for being well-formatted)!

Welcome to the community!

Your version is past EOL. You should upgrade to either the latest version or the current LTA (long-term active version) at your earliest convenience. Your upgrade path is:

8.9.* → 9.9.8 → 2025.1

Regarding your question, you’re quite a bit behind. I believe that once you’re on a modern version, you’ll find this problem is fixed.
