Free trial account for evaluation purpose for Connecting to SonarQube or SonarCloud from SonarLint Visual Studio

I downloaded and installed SonarLint from below for Visual Studio 2019, which is working.

I also need to evaluate features that connect to SonarQube or SonarCloud from Visual Studio.

When I connect SonarQube from VS based on the link below, it asks for Server, Token, and password.

I would like to know if there is a free trial version of it for evaluation purposes.

Hey there.

You can always download the Community Edition of SonarQube or request a trial license for a commercial edition, and SonarCloud is free for public projects – just sign up!

Just to be clear, the link below still requires users to download the server and install it locally to use SonarLint locally.

I was looking for a trial account from the cloud, ideally without installing any server locally.

SonarCloud is free for public projects – just sign up!”

@duncanp the projects are not public projects, we are a private company. is it still qualified?

Yes, free trials are available for private projects. See the “Pricing FAQ” section : https://sonarcloud.io/pricing
