Does sonar compatible with CentOs?

We are using sonarQube 6.7.5 hosted on rhel 6.10 (Santiago). And now our management wanted to move all applications fron RHEL to CentOs.

*We wanted to know if sonarQube 6.7.5 is compatible with CenOs.
*We may upgrade sonarQube to version 8.9.6 in future, so is this version also compatible with CenOs ?
*Can some one share guide to move sonarQube from one server to another ? What are the risk involved ?

Thanks & Regards,
Deepak

Hi Deepak,

Welcome to the community!

Your version is past EOL. You should upgrade to either the latest version or the current LTS at your earliest convenience. Your upgrade path is:

6.7.5 → 7.9.6 → 8.9.9 → 9.5 (last step optional)

You may find the Upgrade Guide and the LTS-to-LTS Upgrade Notes helpful. If you have questions about upgrading, feel free to open a new thread for that here.

To answer your question, SonarQube requires a supported Java environment. If that’s available on CentOS, then there shouldn’t be a problem.
