We are trying to update our quality profile where we are deactivating some rules which we find are not relevant in our context . But for some rule I dnt see ‘Deactivate’ button . Can you please help me understand that why some rules does not give us this possibility of deactivation.

It sounds like you’re trying to edit a built-in profile, like Sonar way. Those aren’t editable. If you need to customize, try creating an inherited profile. There you should be able to deactivate at will.
Hello , In below screenshot you can see its inherited from Sonar Way . I am trying to change in our profile not in built in profile, but it does not give me option of ‘Deactivate’ . Do note its not for all rules , it comes only for few rules and I am not able to identify the cause of it .
I saw that screenshot the first time you posted it, but thanks for reposting it to make sure. The reason I asked for another screenshot is that there isn’t supposed to be an edit button in that part of the interface. The docs should help.
