Code duplication suddenly jumped

On Friday (14th of June) our code duplication metric suddenly increased from 2.5% to 4.8%, despite our duplication on new code over the past 14 days only being reported at 1.1%.

We have not changed any settings during this period. Is this a change in how the metrics are reported or a potential bug?

this is due to a regression that we fixed and recently deployed. I’ve just written the announcement about this: Regression fixed on the density of duplications
