We are using SonarCloud integrated into Azure DevOps pipelines
The name of our Azure DevOps organization was just changed, which means fhe URL has changed, and now our SonarCloud integration is broken
I can see where the organization is linked in our SonarCloud organization, but it does not appear as though I am able to change this to point to the updated URL on my own. (the page reads “This SonarCloud organization is currently connected to the following Azure DevOps organization:”… followed by a link which still points at the old DevOps URL that is no longer functional.
Can somebody help me to change the organisation name.
I believe what’s called for here is rebinding the organization. Unfortunately, it’s currently not possible to unbind an organization and bind it to something else. You can vote for adding this feature here.
The only way to have your organization bound to a different DevOps Platform currently is to create a new organization and re-import your repositories there. Unfortunately, that means you’ll lose the results of previous analyses on these projects.
If you have a yearly subscription for your current organization, a new coupon can be issued for your new organization by reaching out to your sale representative.
If you have a monthly subscription by credit card, you can simply stop your subscription on the old organization and re-subscribe on the new one.
Is it really not possible to change our organisation name?
SonarCloudnedgraphics-fo/ to a another name. But I can survive when this is not possible. Then we stay at our current (old) organisation name.
But I want to change our Azure DevOps organisation. I have a new PAT, but this token is not accepted. I think the problem is related to Azure DevOps connectivity management.
But maybe it is still the organization key, but thats what i am not sure about.
We used to support people needing this via manual, heroic measures on an individual basis. But it was costly and painful and we’ve decided to stop doing it. Instead we’re trying to get the time to build the feature to give you the power directly. So please vote/comment on the feature linked above.
Ok. For this moment I have to create a new organisation. Thanks for your response and of course I already have voted for adding this functionality, but it will be too late for our organisation.
